Day 14

Below are my results for week 2 of my daily challenge that I am following through with until the end of April:

CHALLENGE
No Alcohol

RESULTS
So over this weekend, I was in situations that normally I would have been throwing something back, playing golf with new people, going to dinner while everyone is having a cocktail, Easter brunch and to be honest, I missed it a little, but not enough to stop the momentum I have. Having something bigger that I am working on is making this much easier for me. It hasn’t been as big of a deal as I thought it would have.

CHALLENGE
Meditate for 10 minutes

RESULTS
No real big changes here to report, but I know this is one of those things that slowly compound over time.

CHALLENGE
Brush teeth for 2 minutes

RESULTS
This one has almost become a habit at this point. It feels pretty easy at this point. I definitely recommend getting a toothbrush that notifies you when the time is up.

CHALLENGE
Make my bed every morning

RESULTS
This one is basically automatic at this point. It is just nice to start the day with a small win.

CHALLENGE
Workout every day

RESULTS
I managed to get this done even when I was out of town. I am still not at the point where I am looking forward to it, but I can feel that creeping up. I am starting to enjoy the pain a little bit more.

CHALLENGE
Read 1 chapter

RESULTS
I have found a book I am really enjoying, so this is becoming pretty easy for me so far and I am wondering if this has been part of my problem of avoiding it like the plague.

CHALLENGE
1 hour of working on my new business

RESULTS
This one has been absolutely huge for me. This is the one that is giving me the motivation and hope for what is to come. I am feeling more and more confident in the course I am building every time I work on it. This is the first time in my life where I feel like everything is clicking and coming together for something life changing. I am really excited about how this is going to play out.

CHALLENGE
Count every calorie I put in body

RESULTS
So I upped my calories from ~1,700 per day to just over 2,000 calories. The reason why is that I was just not feeling right and I don’t want to lose muscle by not eating enough on top of working out daily. I only lost 1.6lbs this week, but I am going to play around with lowering my intake slightly and see how that effects results for this week. I am going to shoot for 1,800–1,900 per day.

CHALLENGE
Write every day

RESULTS
This one is still the most challenging and brings up the same feelings, but I am proud that I have not missed a day of writing publicly. The small victories!
